COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & SCIENCE

Why Donate on Giving Day?

Because your gifts make a direct impact on students.
You can donate to any of our programs, the American Society of Civil Engineers student chapter, the Society of Automotive Engineers Baja team, the Academic Success Center, the Institute for Micromanufacturing, the Trenchless Technology Center, the Engineering and Science Excellence Fund, or the Engineering and Science Scholarship. A donation to any of these will help us continue to provide outstanding Louisiana Tech Engineering and Science students with the futures they deserve.

Why I Give Giving Day Graphics

Message from the Dean

First, thank you for continuing to be an active member of the COES community over the years. I know you get numerous solicitations throughout the year, so I’ll make this brief. Many of you give yearround both financially and in other ways, and I, the faculty, students, and staff are all appreciative of your gifts and support.

Giving Day has a direct impact on how many students we can provide with scholarships and jobs in our research labs and offices. It also affects how much funding we can devote to helping students travel to conferences, competitions and industry visits throughout the year. Opportunities like these are what sets Louisiana Tech apart in Engineering and Science education.

I consider Giving Day 2024 a personal challenge, and I would love for our College to raise the most money on campus this year. The clock starts at midnight. Will you help us show the dedication the COES alumni and friends have to the College and University?

Ever Loyal,

Collin Wick Signature

C.J. Williams Endowed Scholarship in Engineering Recipient

“I was honored to receive the C.J. Williams Endowed Scholarship in Engineering during my senior year at Louisiana Tech. This scholarship has allowed me to be deeply involved in student activities both on campus and in the community. This year, I am blessed to be the president of the Biomedical Engineering Society, a member of the Society of Women Engineers, and a COES ambassador, where I help recruit prospective students. These opportunities, alongside my coursework, which were made possible by the support of this scholarship, have developed me into the person I am today. As I finish my education at Louisiana Tech, I want to thank those who have donated to and supported the C.J. Williams Endowed Scholarship and similar scholarships; these scholarships truly allow students to flourish.”

– Catherine Lacey

Chip and Carolyn Woodard Endowed Scholarship Recipient

“I received the Chip and Carolyn Woodard Endowed scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year. This scholarship has helped me tremendously; I decided to live off campus for my sophomore year, so I was very concerned about budgeting and working enough to pay my rent. When I received the scholarship, I felt an immediate relief – I could focus more on my academics and personal life while still being able to afford college and rent. I have been able to join clubs and participate in research, and I have gained valuable experiences that will guide me in my future professional career. I’m very thankful to have received this scholarship, as it has allowed me to pursue my academic goals fully!”

– Rylie Marbrough

This scholarship has helped me succeed academically, and I am truly thankful for the support as I graduate this quarter with less of a financial obligation.”
-Sonny Reed

Maryanne Scogin Memorial Scholarship Recipient

“Thanks to the Maryanne Scogin Memorial Scholarship, I can go to school without the worry of having to pay for school each quarter and fund my studies of becoming a Mechanical Engineering student.”
