Mr. Monte R. Parker - Interim Center Director
Mr. Monte R. Parker is dual-hatted as the Interim Director of the Shreveport Center and as Director of the Barksdale Program. Mr. Parker possesses a unique blend of operational military and educational experience. He is a product of air force base educational programs in earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Regis University and a Master of Aviation Management degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University while on active duty in the U.S. Air Force. He retired after nearly 30 years of active service as a lieutenant colonel. His most notable Air Force duties included serving as a career air battle manager, commanding an Air Force recruiting squadron, serving as an executive officer to four different general officers, and completing three deployments to the air operations center in the Middle East in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
After retiring from the Air Force and prior to joining Louisiana Tech, Mr. Parker served as the Deputy Program Manager for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) on contract to the Department of Defense on Barksdale Air Force Base. His primary contract responsibilities included assisting in the stand-up of Air Force Cyber Command and Air Force Global Strike Command.

Ms. June Edwards - Administrative Assistant
Ms. June Edwards is the Administrative Assistant at the Technology Transfer Center. Ms. Edwards assists the Director with facility administration, management, and planning. She has thirty years of experience in secretarial and administrative positions and has extensive experience planning and facilitating workshops and conferences. She received he degree in Office Administration at Louisiana Tech and has worked for the Technology Transfer Center since 1999.
