Harry D. Richardson

OUTSTANDING ALUMNUS AWARD for MECHANICAL & INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING: 1994

In recognition of outstanding service and leadership in the engineering profession.

Harry Richardson graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in May 1941. He received a M.S. degree from the University of Alabama in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. degree from Harvard in Advanced Business Management.

Mr. Richardson was the first person in Louisiana to be licensed by the Atomic Energy Commission. He was on the faculty at LSU, where he founded the LSU Nuclear Science Center.

Mr. Richardson was the founder, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Nuclear Systems, Inc. He established Delta Tank Research and Development and was Chairman of the Board of Gulf South Research Institute.
