John L. Dailey, Jr.

In recognition of outstanding service and leadership in the engineering profession.
John Dailey, Jr., graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in May 1943.
After service with the 82nd Airborne Division in Europe during World War II, Mr. Dailey began his professional career with Standard Oil of New Jersey in 1946. He served as District Engineer, District Superintendent, Divisional Operations Manager and Manager of Product Development in Colombia; Vice President International Petroleum in Colombia; Vice President and General Manager of Esso Caribbean (Jamaica and the Bahamas); Executive Representative of International Petroleum in Venezuela; President of PT Stanvac in Indonesia; and, President of Monterey pipeline in New Orleans.
Mr. Dailey retired from direct engineering work in 1983. His leadership in and contributions to the engineering profession in the international arena have been outstanding.
