Call for Abstracts
Abstracts are being solicited for contributed Oral and Poster presentations at the 32nd Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference in Shreveport, Louisiana. Abstracts related to Biomedical Engineering and related research and education will be considered. The list of Tracks / Topics can help guide your submission. Submission of a 2-page paper in IEEE format is optional. One or more authors of the abstract must be registered for the conference by the early registration deadline for inclusion in the Program book and the Conference Proceedings.

Abstracts will not be reviewed unless they are submitted via the conference online submission system by the deadline. Late abstracts will NOT be accepted. Abstracts submitted by post, fax or email will not be considered.
All abstracts should be written, submitted and presented in English with a maximum word count of 250 words (not including the abstract title, authors and affiliations).
Authors will be notified by email whether or not their abstract has been approved by the SBEC 2016 Scientific Committee.
Once an abstract is approved, the presenting author must register for the conference by the early registration date for final acceptance.
Registered authors are expected to attend the Conference and present their work at platform or poster sessions. Non-registered authors may be excluded from publication in the Conference final program and the planned Springer conference book publication.
Registered authors may submit a two-page paper of their work in IEEE format by January 11, 2016 deadline to be reviewed by the Conference’s Scientific Committee and published in the conference proceedings.
Selected papers accepted and presented at the Conference will be augmented and published as book chapters in a Conference book planned by Springer.
Instructions for both platform and poster presentations will be made available on the Conference website. Authors selected for oral presentations should ideally use Microsoft PowerPoint Picture Presentation.
