About the College
The Louisiana Tech College of Engineering and Science equips engineers and scientists to develop solutions for the challenges of tomorrow. As our students prepare to build tomorrow’s world, they receive hands-on, interdisciplinary training in applied sciences, computer science, engineering, and mathematics. In addition to pursuing degree options, they can participate in research both in class and at integrated research centers, where they collaborate with faculty and other experts in various areas, such as nanotechnology, cyber security and green engineering.

Freshman Enrichment Program

The five-week Freshman Enrichment Program (FrEP) is designed to help prepare students as they transition from high school to college. Students will take a three-credit-hour college algebra course, engage in community-building activities and learn about enrichment topics. They may also take an optional three-credit-hour general education course. The FrEP Project is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation and provides additional support for program participants throughout their freshman year. An application for the 2013 program will be available soon.
