Order of the Engineer
The Order of the Engineer is a national organization initiated to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession, to bridge the gap between training and experience, and to present to the public a visible symbol identifying the engineer. Eligibility requirements for Order of the Engineer are as follows:
•Graduates in engineering from colleges with curricula accredited by ABET, or
•Seniors in engineering in colleges with curricula accredited by ABET, or
•Registered professional engineers, or
•Special engineers who by reason of education, eminence, or experience are deemed worthy of the Order.
The Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 5, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Davison Athletics Complex. If you are a junior or senior majoring in biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nanosystems engineering, and will graduate by winter quarter 2018, you are eligible to participate in this year's ceremony.
