COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & SCIENCE

Cyber Engineering

Program Highlights

Cyber engineering is the fusion of computer science, electrical engineering, and mathematics, with the integration of the humanities. Like biotechnology and information technology, cyber engineering is a growth industry with the potential to greatly change the world for the better. The program will prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills to integrate basic computer science, electromagnetic sciences, and mathematics with engineering fundamentals to design and develop useful technology, and will also prepare students to be technical leaders in cybersecurity with a thorough understanding of the associated security concerns, social and political impacts, and ethical consequences. The Louisiana Tech University program is a member of the Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity Community.

The Louisiana Tech Cyber Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org. To find out more information about the program mission, educational objectives, student outcomes, and enrollment and graduation data, go to our Accreditation & Enrollment page.
