Engineering and Science Foundation elects new leadership

Louisiana Tech University’s Engineering and Science Foundation elected its new officers for the 2010-11 term and directors for 2010-13 during their May meeting. A. C. Hollins, Jr., assistant general manager and director of site operations for National Securities Technologies in Las Vegas, NV, was elected president for 2010-11 with Hilton Nicholson, CEO of SIXNET in Clifton Park, NY, being elected vice president. Mike Person, CEO of Orion Marine in Houston, will become the new secretary and George Baldwin, president of Ensight Energy Management in Shreveport, will serve as the Foundation’s treasurer. Billy Brown, vice president of Tidewater Marine in Metairie, is the past president. Newly-elected directors include:
  • Michael Kern, retired senior vice president of Huntsman Corp. – Houston, TX
  • Ancel ‘Monty’ Offutt, associate technical fellow at Boeing Co. – Huntsville, AL
  • Tim Petrus, vice president of XTO Energy – Ft. Worth, TX
  • Steve Saucier, CEO of Robbins, LLC – Muscle Shoals, AL
  • William ‘Bill’ Slack, president of B&D Electrical Contractors and Slack Building, Inc. – Longview, TX
  • Ellen Turner, principal engineer and technical services rep for Eastman Chemicals – Kingsport, TN
Petrus had previous served on the Board and is returning for a second term. Ron Harrell, chairman emeritus and advisor to the Board of Ryder Scott Co. in Houston, was elected as a ‘Life Director.’
