College of Engineering and Science releases 2012-13 annual report
Louisiana Tech University’s College of Engineering and Science has released its 2012-2013 annual report titled, “Beyond the Finish Line.”
The report provides a review of student and faculty accomplishments and awards, and lists alumni support for the academic year. It also provides program-by-program enrollment numbers for the previous academic year, average ACT scores, research dollar expenditures and the total number of degrees conferred.
Despite continued budget reductions, the report demonstrates how the College continues to excel in undergraduate education, leading the way in new teaching methods and offering several programs that are ‘firsts’ in the country, including a bachelor of science degree in cyber engineering and a Ph.D. in molecular science and nanotechnology.
Interim Dean Hisham Hegab says the report demonstrates how the College is moving past the finish line in its fundraising for a new building as well as in its efforts to enhance our programs.
“Reading this report makes me proud again of what we accomplished this past year and assures all of our friends and supporters that we will continue producing the best engineers and scientists for tomorrow,” said Hegab.
Other report highlights include an introduction to Hegab, a profile of Dr. Ramu Ramachandran, the new executive associate dean for research, and profiles faculty members and student organizations.
