Louisiana Tech students prepare for ‘Cyber Storm’
Computer science and cyber engineering students at Louisiana Tech University’s College of Engineering and Science are preparing for Cyber Storm 2019. Teams of students will compete against each other and a black ops team of intruders from academia, industry and government institutions this Friday, May 24, to determine which team will be the 2019 Cyber Storm champion.
Cyber Storm is Louisiana Tech’s daylong hackfest competition that tests what upper-level computer science and cyber engineering students have learned by providing them with the opportunity to complete challenges and earn points using networks that they have built. Student teams will complete challenges on cybersecurity, wireless networks and steganography and complete cyber scavenger hunts.
The event is free and open to the public. Join us in the Student Center between 9 and 5 to watch as scores update and challenges are posted and completed. Final scores will be tallied at 5.
