SurgeTeam Members: Abigail Folds, Gabriel Jose, Mason Kelley, Jacob Roberts Sponsor: Dr. Zakaria El-Awadi Advisor: Mr. Thomas J. Bowman Surge is a project designed to solve the problem of employers not having an easy way to deliver custom training courses to their employees. Our site allows organizations to create and manage users, courses, and content. A wide variety of content types can be included in these courses, including quizzes, PDFs, and videos. Our main priority is seamless UI and high customizability for employers. While taking and distributing online training can be stressful and unnecessarily convoluted, Surge aims to provide simplicity for employees and organizations to receive the training necessary to operate efficiently. |

UniJetTeam Members: Ethan Joyce, Samman Regmi, Jay Reich, Josiah Norman Sponsor: Dr. Jonathan Walters Advisor: Mr. Thomas J. Bowman UniJet is a rideshare web application that fills the gap that other apps of similar functions fail to address. With UniJet’s focus on small college towns, students are connected in a way that allows them to take action against communal problems such as limited on-campus parking and the lack of transportation for students without vehicles. Users in need of a ride around town can request a driver in a seamless transaction that benefits both parties. With our scheduler feature, riders and drivers with compatible schedules are automatically recommended to each other, allowing for a convenient connection. After the connection is made, both parties will exchange phone numbers in case they need to stay in contact, and a live route to the other user will be displayed. After the rider has been picked up and dropped off, both users will be given the option to rate the other in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment for future users. |

Our service aims to assist them in managing and using this collection effectively so that they get the best experience from the game and their collections. Users have their collection that they can access on the web and their cell phones through their user accounts. Through our service, they are able to not only log their existing collection and save it in an easy-to-use database but also organize their cards into different folders and decks so they can plan their deckbuilding more easily. In addition, they can see the best and worst card prices each day, and they cannot only check the prices of cards but also have links to where they can purchase potential additions to their collection. The combinations of all of these into one service aim to assist players in optimizing their collection management and optimization. |

KITETeam Members: Karina Chang, Iftesam Nabi, Taylar Rankin, Ethan Hebert Sponsor: John Spurgeon Advisor: Mr. Thomas J. Bowman KITE is a web-based file-sharing app that prioritizes ease of access and simplicity. The app runs on a React frontend hosted on Google Firebase, which is connected to a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) MySQL database through a JavaScript backend hosted as a Docker container on GCP Cloud Run. Why KITE? As a kid, Ethan’s dad would build and fly kites with his siblings so high into the sky that you couldn’t see them anymore. You only knew your makeshift kite wouldn’t flow away if you had tension in your string. Our app works similarly. You upload files into the cloud and receive a code in return. This code is the string connecting you to these files. You can then share this code with friends to pull the files back onto their devices. Combining the freedom of no login credentials and the cross-compatibility of a web-based application, our app functions as a universal AirDrop. Need to share something fast? Don’t have everyone’s numbers in the group? Is the file size too big for email? That one guy has an Android? Just kite it and move on with your life! |
