COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & SCIENCE
The M.S. in Engineering program is interdisciplinary, offering students the opportunity to specialize in certain areas of engineering, with a strong emphasis on research. The curricula for master’s degrees in Engineering concentrations consist of 30-36 credit hours, depending on the track the student chooses.
Track options include Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The Industrial Engineering degree is both on-campus and online and has earned numerous accolades, including being named one of the “Most Affordable Online Master’s Degrees in Industrial Engineering” and a “2020 Best Online Engineering Degree.”

Industrial Engineering (Offered Online and On Campus)
Industrial engineers are often responsible for designing new processes or analyzing and improving existing processes. Industrial engineers make things better in any industry—from automobile manufacturing and aerospace to healthcare, forestry, business, finance, leisure, and education. An industrial engineer works to identify and eliminate waste and unnecessary costs, as well as to improve the safety of the worker. Many of our students are awarded a Six Sigma Black Belt certification and/or a Six Sigma Green Belt (an industry-recognized quality control program that utilizes process-improvement techniques). Industrial engineers work across a number of specialties, including operations research, systems, manufacturing, production, management science, safety or ergonomics.
The Industrial Engineering degree can be earned on-campus, online or using a hybrid approach. The degree has earned numerous accolades, including being named one of 2020’s “Most Affordable Online Master’s Degrees in Industrial Engineering” by CollegeRank.net and a “2020 Best Online Engineering Degree” by OnlineU.org.
