FACULTY MENTORING
Faculty Mentoring Program
The College of Engineering and Science offers faculty the option of participating in a College-wide mentoring program. The COES Faculty Mentoring Program provides new faculty with the knowledge and network to build a successful career while giving experienced faculty the opportunity to share their expertise.
Research shows that mentoring makes a significant difference for both tenure-track faculty and faculty who are moving into new responsibilities or research areas. It has also shown that mentoring is beneficial to those who serve as mentors, providing new opportunities for collaboration and development of leadership skills, as well as the institution, by positively impacting new faculty members’ professional development and job satisfaction.
