Dr. Jungshik Jason Hur holds a Humana/MaCallister Endowed Professorship and is an Associate Professor of Finance in the College of Business. He received his Ph.D. in finance from Virginia Tech University, MS in Statistics from Texas A&M University, MA and BA in Economics from Yonsei University, Korea. His research interests include empirical and theoretical asset pricing, behavioral finance, financial econometrics, and financial statistics. He worked for SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) in Korea. He enjoys playing piano and had a piano concert twice when he was young. He does Crossfit workout twice a week since 2009 and competed in Crossfit Open. He also enjoys swimming. He has published in the Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Financial Research, and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, among others.
