Biography

Mrs. Martin is an Associate Professor in Health Informatics and Information Management in the College of Applied and Natural Science and the Professional Practice Coordinator for Health Informatics and Information Management undergraduate students. Mrs. Martin grew up in Claiborne Parish in Homer and now resides in Minden. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Mrs. Martin worked in a rural acute care facility as Director of Health Information and Medical Staff Coordinator before coming back to her alma mater. She did not set out to be an educator but education found her through her passion for helping others. Mrs. Martin enjoys working with her undergraduate students to maximize their full potential through their professional practice experiences and directing them into their future professional careers. She enjoys watching her students become successful healthcare professionals.
