Nathan Trahan is the Director of Choral Activities at Louisiana Tech University. Prior to his appointment at Tech, Trahan served as Choir Director at Ruston High School. During his ten-year tenure there, the RHS Choral Department consistently received superior ratings in State, Regional and District Assessments. Currently he also serves as Director of Music/Organist at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Minden, Louisiana.

Professor Trahan completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2006 and his Master’s degree in Music Education at Florida State University in 2010. Trahan completed his coursework towards a Ph.D. in Music Education from Ole Miss in 2013 and is currently ABD in that endeavor. Choral music is his life’s work and he has served as director in many schools, churches and civic capacities throughout the past 25 years. Nathan and his wife Lauren reside in Ruston with their four kids.
